Our vacation!

As most of you know, Kevin surprised me for our 7 year anniversary by booking a 7 day cruise to the Mexican riviera. Well, we are back and I just have to say how wonderful it was!! We actually left a few days early and on our way to Newport we stopped at Magic Mountain!! It was SOO fun! The park was not crowded at all and the longest we had to wait for a ride was maybe 30 minutes! This was the perfect scenario for me, but for Kev?!........not so much, toward the end of the day he was ready to go. After leaving there we headed to Newport beach where we stayed in a nice hotel and ordered a movie in our room. The next day we were able to go to Dodger Stadium to watch the Dodgers vs. Giants game.........which Kevin was really excited for. We were one of the few Giants fans amongst the sea of Dodgers fans, which made for some interesting conversation with the people around us. We were just happy to watch the Giants destroy the Dodgers 9 to 0!! After the game we had a nice steak dinner and rested up for our cruise!

The next morning we headed to the Long Beach port to get on our GINORMOUS boat. For the next 7 days we partied and had lots of fun. We even met two awesome LDS couples that we got to hang out with! A few of the things we did at our stops:

Puerto Vallarta- we did an AWESOME zip line tour. Which I have to say was one of the best things we did!! I LOVED it and would go back just to do it again!!

Mazatlan- We shopped and bartered till we dropped and did a very scary para sailing ride! I think I would have felt a bit more safe if we had booked that one through the cruise line....I mean seriously tape on the end of the rope?! What was I thinking?! It was fun though and I'm glad I tried something I might otherwise wouldn't have if I hadn't been pressured into it by someone I won't name (and no it wasn't Kevin).

Cabo San Lucas- We did a beach tour that took us on a boat ride......can I just say how beautiful it was?! I was sad that we didn't get to stay longer there. After that we went to some beach resort where we had lunch and hung out on the beach. We then did some more shopping, but by then it was really just browsing.

I really had SOO much fun am grateful that my husband planned such a wonderful vacation. Here are just a few of the pics we took.

Our Stateroom on the boat. I was just a little excited.
These are the awesome 2 LDS couples we meet and ate with every night.

Yes that tiny dot in the sky is me!

I just can't get this song out of my head!!

This is such a beautiful song and ever since I heard it, I can't stop listening to it. It is a cover of Kate bush's version. It was originally written for a movie (which I can't remember the name of) where a man is waiting in the next room waiting to here news of his pregnant wife and unborn child who are in danger of losing their lives. Yes it is a little on the sad side, but I just LOVE it. I just Love Greg Laswell too, I recently discovered his music and I love it. This really isn't an important post, just a little break to listen to a beautiful song.

P.S. You will have to go down to the bottom of my blog to turn off my regular music so it won't conflict with the song.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY my not so baby GIRL!!

Oh how I just LOVE this little girl to pieces!! I can't believe she turns 2 today, time has just flown by and I am having trouble not calling her my baby (because lets face it, she is a full blown toddler)! She is just the sweetest little girl and always knows how to make us smile. She is also fiercely independant and wants to do everything herself and is not satisfied until she has at least tried multiple times..........which she then may or may not except our help. She is always willing to give kisses and hugs and knows how to give a good grumpy face as well, which usually just induces laughter from her and us!! I could go on and on about her wonderful personality and how much we LOVE her!! We are just lucky to call her ours!! HAPPY birthday my not so baby girl!!
